Come and join our team at this 605-room convention center hotel in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. Our luxury hotel is located next to the Paycom Center(OKC Thunder), the Oklahoma Convention Center and across the street from the 70-acre Scissortail Park.

The property includes an all-day dining outlet (Seltzer's Modern Diner), an entertainment sports bar (OKC Tap House), specialty restaurant (Bob's Steak & Chop House), coffee shop (Park Grounds) and a retail outlet (RareBird Gift Shop). Additionally, guests can enjoy a Mokara Spa, fitness center and a rooftop pool and bar (CatBird Seat) complete with a fire pit, outdoor lawn and cabanas. The hotel offers 76,000 square feet of meeting and event space inclusive of a 20,000 square foot ballroom, 10,000 square foot ballroom, and a 4,200 square foot outdoor pre-function space that overlooks the park.

Job Description

Omni Oklahoma City Hotelis seeking an experiencedPark Grounds Supervisorto join the team of this upscale hotel. This team member i s responsible for ensuring proper training and supervision of all personnel in Park Grounds Coffee Shop. The supervisor is to deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assigned shift, assisting in overall management.

  • Assist in overall supervision of Park Grounds Coffee Shop.

  • Complete environmental checklist for related areas.

  • Spot check liquor pars and order daily supplies.

  • Hold pre-shift meetings.

  • Follow up on established training steps.

  • Handle guest comments and complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.

  • Communicate with guests and receive feedback.

  • Stay on the floor during peak hours.

  • Observe, teach and coach staff on service.

  • Examine food preparation and beverage presentation.

  • Maintain condition of the coffee shop.

  • Assist manager in; scheduling, completing weekly payroll, and forecasting both weekly and monthly.

  • Participate in interviewing new employees as needed.

  • Prepare maintenance request and follow-up.

  • Monitor food and liquor requisitions and food waste.

  • Check bar controls, shot glass use, red lining, and bottles totally empty daily.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in Food and Beverage Supervision or Management role preferred.

  • Must have the ability to manage deadlines.

  • Understanding of Food and Beverage financials including cost and par controls is preferred.

  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Must have a strong attention to detail as well as strong customer service skills.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

  • Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability laws.

  • Must be able to push/pull up to 20 lbs and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must know emergency procedures and work to prevent accidents.

  • Must have State Alcohol and Food Handlers Certification.
