Overview

Provide academic advisement and recruiting support for the graduate MA professions programs, including the Visual Arts Administration and Art + Education MA programs. Provide support to graduate academic and curriculum initiatives for the Department of Art and Art Professions, including new program development, accreditation projects, internships, and academic policies. Manage department's course planning process and room scheduling for the professions programs, coordinating input from chair, faculty, department administrator and advising team. Oversee the internship program for BFA and MA students.



Responsibilities

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in a related field.

Required Experience:
3+ years academic/administrative experience, including advisement at the graduate level.

Preferred Experience:
3+ years

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong planning, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with spreadsheets and database software applications.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Familiarity with NYU culture and communications. Familiarity with NYU systems, including PeopleSoft, UDW+, and Albert.



Qualifications

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $65,000.00 to USD $75,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
