Job Description

A major entertainment client is looking for a CAD Designer to join their ride engineering team which is responsible for the creation - from concept through installation - of all Resorts, theme parks, and attractions. These team members are uniquely talented individuals that bring together the best aspects of creativity, innovation, and passion. CAD designers work the ride engineering team and are responsible for assisting in every aspect of mechanical ride system design & development from concept through installation. They work on a wide variety of innovative ride platforms that include unique requirements for extreme duty cycles, high reliability, and inherent life safety. This person will be responsible for conceiving, designing, and delivering a wide variety of complex & innovative ride systems and related equipment ensuring durability, reliability, and safety. This development process includes the model and drawing, development & release as well as supporting installation, field support, testing, and site surveys. They will be responsible for participating in scope to conceive, design, & deliver a wide variety of complex & innovative ride systems and related equipment ensuring durability, reliability, and safety. They will create "Clean sheet" concept design of ride systems and subsystems that meet creative intent and stakeholder requirements. They will also participate in all aspects of ride mechanical installation, field support, and testing and perform field installation/testing activities including equipment/site surveys, use of active fall protection equipment, navigating construction site with catwalks, ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and confined spaces

Skills and Requirements

-2 years minimum of Solidworks and Autocad experience or another design software

-5+ years of experience designing ride systems and subsystems from concept, design, delivery, and creating prototypes (or Automotive, Aerospace, Engines, Hydraulics)

-Must be willing to work on site 5 days per week with occasional flexibility for personal matters. -Theme park engineering experience, or any previous experience designing rides null
