GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:\
The Training and Professional Development Specialist plays a crucial
role in enhancing the skills, knowledge, and performance of our staff.
Working under the direction of the Director of Employee Relations and
Staffing, the specialist will collaborate with various stakeholders to
design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs. The
focus will encompass discovering, and coordinating various department
training programs, monthly supervisor training, new hire onboarding,
compliance training, staff training programs, professional development
activities, and performance management\
initiatives. The Training & Professional Development Specialist will be
responsible for the design, modeling, testing, delivery, and evaluation
of training and professional development programs for NPC.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND STANDARD EXPECTATIONS :\
1. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:\
Works closely with relevant stakeholders to identify training needs and
goals.\
Collaborates with department heads, supervisors, and other key personnel
to\
ensure training programs align with organizational objectives.\
2. Program Development and Implementation:\
Develops and implements monthly supervisor training programs to enhance\
leadership and management skills.\
Designs and executes effective new hire onboarding processes to
integrate\
employees seamlessly into the college environment.\
Administers compliance training programs for all college staff, ensuring
adherence\
to regulatory requirements.\
3. Staff Training Program Development:\
Creates and implements a comprehensive staff training program to
address\
ongoing professional development needs.\
Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and
assessment\
mechanisms, making continuous improvements.\
4. Professional Development Activities:\
Identifies, plans, and coordinates professional development activities
for staff,\
fostering continuous learning and growth.\
Stays abreast of industry trends, best practices, and advancements in
training and\
professional development.\
5. Performance Management:\
Collaborates with supervisors to develop and implement performance
management\
strategies.\
Tracking the performance management review process and providing
training to\
supervisors as appropriate.
