Responsibilities

As a member of the Supply Chain Training Team, the Supply Chain Training Specialist will assist with delivering supply chain-related training and communications to SCA’s greater than 300 surgery center partnerships and acquisitions. The Training Specialist will assist in creating, tailoring, planning, and efficiently delivering training in multiple formats to include web-based platforms, regional on-site, and center specific visits. The successful candidate will have experience in project management and adult learning concepts, with an understanding of common business training techniques. Additionally, the candidate must be results driven, analytical, versatile, and motivated with sound judgment and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist training manager with identification and assessment of training needs of the organization through job analysis, career paths, and consultation with management.

  • Implement and facilitate effective and purposeful training methods.

  • Support management in developing individualized and group training programs that address specific business needs.

  • Collaborate with management across the department to develop training manuals that target tangible results.

  • Train teammates based on development plans to facilitate strategic training based on the organization’s goals.

  • Contribute to and assist the team to monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success, and ROI periodically.

  • Search for gaps in training content and materials that need updating to generate higher productivity knowledge across the enterprise; ensure training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.

  • Support the Supply Chain Operations team to distribute Supply Chain communications (memos, newsletters, website, etc) across the enterprise to streamline information.

  • Collaborate across the department and enterprise we support by leveraging strong interpersonal skills to understand individual and group training needs.

  • Make recommendations to the training agenda or curriculum, as necessary.

Qualifications

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in purchasing, operations, business, or equivalent experience.

  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in adult learning, training, or technical training/technical writing Required

  • Experience in healthcare industry with Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience preferred.

  • Capable of working collaboratively with subject matter experts and leaders to identify training needs, training curriculum, and develop resources that align with adult learning principles.

  • Sound time management skills.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships within the team and across the enterprise in support of key business growth and supply chain operations.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications and industry standard contract management, materials management, and reporting software; Experience with Filmora and Tango preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

  • Ability to train and lead through influence

  • Demonstrates skills to work consultatively and solve problems independently

  • Track record in designing and executing training programs

  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc)

  • Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals

  • Travel required – up to 25%
