The person in this position will be most successful if they have excellent communication skills and are committed to supporting the Parks and Facilities Department, for the City and our community, through a strong technical skillset.

 

Under the direction of the Parks and Public Facilities Supervisor, performs maintenance, repair and installation of electrical branch circuits; performs installation, testing and calibration of process control instrumentation and motor control and VFD systems, SCADA/telemetry system equipment; performs maintenance and repair of MCC equipment and switchgear. Subject to 24-hour callout for emergency situations.

The person in this position services a wide customer base fulfilling all Parks and Public Facilities work requests which include supporting all City events and work orders from City Departments for Public Facilities.

The pay for this position is set by a Collective Bargaining Agreement and is $58.75 per hour.

[EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS]{.underline}:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Three (3) years of experience in related field.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience that would provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

[LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS]{.underline}:

  • Valid Washington State driver's license upon hire date.
  • Successful completion of one of the following:
  • Washington State Journey Electrician License.
  • Instrumentation and Controls Associate Degree or Apprenticeship and pass the ISCET Associate Level Exam within six (6) months of hire.
