Cooley Law School seeks an Associate Director of Enrollment and Student Services (ESS) for its Lansing, Michigan campus.  The Associate Director oversees and coordinates enrollment and student services at the campus level including recruitment, admissions, orientation, registration, withdrawals, financial aid, scholarships, planning, scheduling, audits, and advising.  This individual supports student housing and activities, graduation, and other student services and events; and, advises the Student Bar Association and other student groups, as assigned.  The Associate Director arranges student accommodations, and processes and manages veteran's benefits and international students, as assigned.  Some evenings and weekends, and travel.

 

Successful candidates will possess all or many of the following qualifications and/or skills:  Bachelor's degree is required, Master's (M.A.) Degree or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree is preferred.  A minimum of two to five years of experience is required, knowledge of higher education, preferred.  Knowledge of the following software:  Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, web conference/videoconference (WebEx), Law School Admission Council (Unite), financial aid (Jenzabar Financial Aid), student information database (Jenzabar), and reports (InfoMaker).  Knowledge of financial aid process.  Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines; strong customer service focus; handle and maintain confidential information; effective problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking; detail oriented with excellent organization skills; ability to work individually or with a team; and, ability to interact positively with individuals from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
