Client is developing the next generation Lunar, launch and space vehicle manufacturing facility on Florida’s Space Coast at our Orbital Launch Site Manufacturing Complex. Client Tooling Engineering (TE) group is in search of a Technical Designer/Drafter well versed Creo, and Windchill software. This designer will work with a team of engineers and maintenance specialists to design components and create CAD models, create drawings, and facilitate proper file management in Windchill. The TE group interfaces directly with vehicle design, production, launch systems, and other test and operational groups. We put a strong emphasis on teamwork, coordination, and service to support all Client team needs. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required! Responsibilities: Design and create 3D models and drawings of equipment, facilities, and schematics. Design and maintain structural product definition by preparing design layouts and drawings, modifying existing designs and resolving design discrepancies Provide input on schedule and technical requirements to design teams and internal customers Apply relevant company and industry techniques of design, drafting, and part creation in order to plan, layout, and maintain data depicting engineering designs Qualifications: Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space! Experience with Creo, and Windchill Experience with mechanical and weldment design and component integration Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel Experience creating fabrication and installation drawings using Creo. Knowledge of components typically used in mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Experience with ASME Y14.100, Y14.5, Y14.41 Familiar with existing applicable drafting standards Experience managing large CAD assemblies and associated drawings 2+ years of experience developing models and creating drawings Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Desired: Experience with other CAD Packages such as, Catia, DELMIA, SolidWorks, etc. Experience detailing steel shop drawings Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
