As a Technology Manager at Nordstrom, you will play a pivotal role in creating an inspiring workplace where talented IT professionals are empowered to deliver amazing customer experiences and drive business results. Leveraging your broad Supply Chain industry knowledge, technical expertise, MHE experience and hands-on management experience, you will guide a team of IT technicians to execute strategies and tactics that ensure a reliable, secure, stable, and effective operation of critical systems and infrastructure within Nordstrom's Fulfillment and Distribution centers.
A day in the life…
Focus on day-to-day operations and ensure the efficient execution of incident/task management, projects, team strategies and goals
Manage a regional footprint of 2 Distribution Centers and 1 Omni Channel Fulfillment Center
Collaborate with senior leadership to provide oversight and direction to your team
Effectively create, implement, and manage the team to achieve desired SLA’s
Lead a team of IT technicians responsible for the maintenance, optimization, and continuous improvement of supply chain systems and technology
Manage team performance and behavior through regular one-on-one meetings and coaching
Develop and streamline processes that align across the Technology Organization
Ensure that systems, services, client devices and infrastructure reliably and securely meet the engineering standards, business needs and demands
Vendor management and interaction to enable optimal support models that align with service agreements

Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the workflows and technologies (Material Handling Equipment, Warehouse Management Systems, etc.) utilized within Fulfillment and Distribution environments
Ability to hire and develop top talent, identify team strengths and weaknesses, and create plans for effective development
Drive team to results by translating performance data into actionable improvements, identifying and mitigating roadblocks, and effectively executing incident management practices
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to understand and adapt one's style to different situations
Critical thinking skills to analyze information, provide recommendations, and help the team incorporate data into decision-making
Expertise in the relevant technology domains, with a clear understanding of how the team engages with other areas of the organization
Commitment to providing amazing experiences for both internal and external customers, a positive mindset, and a focus on continuous improvement
Ability to adapt positively to changing priorities and embrace ideas and insights from others to find better solutions
Qualifications:
7+ years of industry experience
3+ years of people management or lead experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred experience within a Supply Chain or Logistics facility
Demonstrated knowledge of Material Handling Equipment and Warehouse Management Systems
This position will be on-site 5 days per week in Riverside, CA or Ontario, CA.

Pay Range Details

California: $105,000-$199,000 annually
