License: Boiler, Hot Water Heater Inspector (Certified)
Major Requirements for Certification: 1) Provide written documentation to Industrial Commission that applicant holds a certificate of competency as a inspector of boilers or lined hot water storage heaters for a state that has a standard of examination substantially equal to that of Arizona or the applicant holds a commission as an inspector of boilers and pressure vessels issued by the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors, and applicant provides proof of employment as a full- time inspector for a company operating or insuring boilers or lined hot water storage heaters in Arizona and whose duties as an inspector include making inspections of boilers or lined hot water storage heaters to be used or insured by the company and not for resale; 2) If applicant doesn't meet criteria in No. 1, applicant must complete an application to take the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors Examination on a form approved by the Industrial Commission at least 45 days before the date of the examination, showing education and work experience. If applicants meets the education and work experience criteria, then applicant must pass written examination (minimum score of 70%) of the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors and an oral interview by the Industrial Commission.
