License: Asbestos Abatement Contractor or Abatement Consultant

An Asbestos Abatement Contractor or Asbestos Abatement Consultant is any person or other legal entity, however organized, that acts as an agent for the owner or operator in performing demolitions, renovations, air monitoring, and/or response actions which will involve, or may involve, or may include but not be limited to, the removal or disturbance of Regulated Asbestos-Containing Material (RACM) in any facility or facility component. This does not include in-house personnel performing work associated with the performance of that person's employment. Requirements: 1) Must submit a completed application on a form provided by the Department. 2) License Fee required. 3) Must submit proof that the Abatement Contractor has at least one supervisor who qualifies as a Contractor Supervisor, as determined by Arkansas Pollution Control and Ecology Commission Regulation 21, Asbestos Abatement, and who has been certified by the Department in the appropriate discipline. 4) Must submit a completed Disclosure Statement on a form provided by the Department. A consultant is not required to meet this provision. 5) Must provide proof of liability insurance coverage. License fee: $375.00
