Fees include a nonrefundable three percent (3%) application fee, not to exceed $7.50 per item. (California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 700.4). Items purchased from Online License Sales and Services and at license agents will include five percent (5%) nonrefundable license agent handling fee. 'Required for any person who traps fur-bearing or nongame mammals for pest control purposes. Fees: License: Resident: $131.33, Nonresident: $647.25, Junior: $44.03; Application: None; Examination: None. Examination Frequency: Once. Exam Locations: Regional Fish and Game Offices. Experience Requirement: N/A Average Time to Process Application: 15 working days. Renewal Period: Annually, July 1 - June 30. Special License Requirements: New applicant must present a copy of trapping certificate of proficiency. Comments: Residents are persons who have resided in California for 6 months or more and are over 16 years of age; persons under 16 years of age may apply for a junior license; nonresidents must show proof that their state allows California residents to trap.
