Persons offering service as certified engineering geologists on work requiring such a position by state law or local ordinances. Fees: Application: $250 Examination: $100 License: $67.50 Examination Frequency: Once a year, in the fall. Exam Locations: Southern or Northern California. Experience Requirement: Licensed Geologist with 3 years' engineering geology experience under the supervision of a Certified Engineering Geologist. Average Time to Process Application: 3 months. Renewal Period: Biennially (every second year). Special License Requirements: Must be a licensed Professional Geologist in California to take examination.
