Persons making decisions regarding the quantity or quality of the water in a potable water distribution system must be certified. Water distribution operators employed by community or nontransient-noncommunity water systems. Fees: The fee varies with the level of certification. Grade; Exam; Certification; Renewal D1/T1: $50; $70; $70 D2/T2: $65; $80; $80 D3/T3: $100; $120; $120 D4/T4: $130; $140; $140 D5/T5: $155; $140; $140 Examination Frequency: Operator Certification examinations, T1-T4 are Computer Based and are available year-round. Exam Locations: Distribution Operator Certification Computer Based Exams are available at more than 30 sites throughout California. Experience Requirement: Varies with certification level.
