License: Advanced Emergency Medical Technician

An AEMT applicant must meet the following requirements: -Hold and maintain a current Connecticut EMT certification at the time of enrollment application. -Successful completion of an OEMS-approved Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) training program in Connecticut with a minimum of 150 hours (including written and practical examinations). Training must meet or exceed the 2009 National Emergency Medical Services Education Standards for an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician. -Successful completion of the NREMT AEMT cognitive and psychomotor examination.
