DESCRIPTION OF OCCUPATION: A Hearing Aid Dealer and Fitter evaluates and measures human hearing for the purpose of making selections, adaptations, and sales of hearing aids. REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSING: Education requirements: High school graduate or equivalent. EXAMINATIONS: Written exam of the International Hearing Society with passing score of 70%. FEES: Application fee is $30, non-refundable. In 2022, pay $228 (license $48, compliance resolution fund $100, ½ renewal for 2nd year of 2-year license $80). In 2023, pay $98 (application $30, license $48, compliance resolution fund $50). OTHER: There were 72 licenses currently active as of February 24, 2022. ~ revised 11/18
