DESCRIPTION OF OCCUPATION: A Real Estate Appraiser sets forth an opinion as to the market value of real property. REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSING: Education Requirement: State Licensed Appraiser (SLA) - No College-Level Education Certified Residential Appraiser (CRA) - See link on webpage Certified General Appraiser (CGA) - Bachelors Degree or higher Experience Requirement: State Licensed Appraiser (SLA) - 1000 hours in no fewer than 6 months Certified Residential Appraiser (CRA) 1500 hours in no fewer than 12 months Certified General Appraiser (CGA) - 3000 hours in no fewer than 18 months of which 1500 hours must be in nonresidential appraisal work Personal Requirement: FBI fingerprint check FEES: In 2022, pay $469 (application $25, license/certificate $190, compliance resolution fund $126, annual registry $80, ½ renewal $48). In 2023, pay $318 (application $25, license/certificate $190, compliance resolution fund $63, annual registry $40).
