DESCRIPTION OF OCCUPATION: An Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is a licensed registered nurse with advanced education and training in a specialized field of nursing. Advanced practice registered nurses receive recognition from the Board of Nursing as a nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, certified nurse midwife, or certified nurse anesthetist. REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSING: Personal requirements: Submit FBI electronic fingerprint for criminal background history check. Professional requirements: Provide verification of unencumbered license as a registered nurse and as an APRN or similar designation in all states in which applicant is currently licensed. Education requirements: Graduate of accredited graduate level nursing program. EXAMINATIONS: None. FEES: Between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023, pay $126 (application $40, license $36, compliance resolution fund $50).
