GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION Conducts polygraph examinations in order to verify the truthfulness of information or statements given by the examinee. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Must be a high school graduate or possess a G.E.D. and be a graduate of an examiner training school recognized by the regulatory agency. EXAMINATIONS REQUIREMENTS Applications must be secured from and submitted to the regulatory agency. The examinations are scheduled at the convenience of the applicant once he / she has passed background investigation. Type examination given; multiple choice and true / false and must score 70% or more. Application fee of $50.00 includes the examination cost. Should you fail, you must retake the examination within forty-five (45) days. GENERAL INFORMATION for LICENSURE or CERTIFICATION You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. You must be a resident of Kentucky. There are no health requirements. You must be of good moral character. For further requirements, contact the regulatory agency. You may have less than one (1) year work experience as an examiner. All licenses are renewed annually by December 31. You must complete a renewal application and pay a $40.00 renewal fee. Reciprocity varies. Contact the regulatory agency. CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS (after licensure or certification) You must complete secondary requirements of an approved training school and be certified by the intern supervisor.
