To receive a Cosmetology Limited Instructor's License in Michigan, an applicant must have attained a high school diploma or its equivalent, have a current Michigan cosmetology license, and have completed at least 500 hours of instructor training. Finally the theory and practical examination administered by PSI Services must be passed. Upon completion of these requirements, an applicant can then submit an Instructor License application along with the appropriate fee ($63.00).
