To receive an Esthetician license in Michigan, an applicant must be at least 17 years old, have attained the educational equivalent of 9th grade, and have completed at least 400 hours of training in a licensed cosmetology school OR performed a 6-month cosmetology apprenticeship. Upon meeting these requirements, they must pass the required theory and practical exam administered by PSI Services and submit a license application along with the appropriate application fee.
