To receive an EMT Instructor/Coordinator license in the State of Michigan, an individual must have completed a Michigan Instructor-Coordinator course within the prior two years, have three years of field experience providing direct patient care with a licensed Life Support Agency, and must be currently licensed as an EMT in Michigan at or above the level being applied for. Finally, an applicant must take the Instructor Coordinator exam via the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. Once these requirements have been met, an applicant must submit a license application online and remit the appropriate fees.
