<h3>Occupational Description</h3><br>Barbers provide personal services to customers such as cutting, shampooing, coloring, permanent waving, straightening, and styling hair. They may also offer shaves or other grooming services.<br><h3>Licensure Requirements</h3><br>equivalent. Applicants must have completed 1,800 hours at a Board-approved barber school and pass both a written and practical examination before applying for a license. Examinations are administered quaterly.<br><h3>Fees</h3><br>Examination and License Issuance: $200.00 which includes a two year license fee<br><h3>Renewal</h3><br>Licenses expire on June 30 of each even-numbered year. The renewal fee is $100.
