<h3>Occupational Description</h3><br>A Motor Vehicle/Trailer/Motorcycle Dealer is any person who buys, sells, exchanges, causes the sale of, or offers or attempts to sell new or used motor vehicles, trailers, manufactured homes, or motorcycles, or leases any such vehicles for a period of 30 or more days.<br><h3>Licensure Requirements</h3><br>Applicants must: 1. Be at least 19 years of age; 2. The place of business must be zoned properly for that type of business with space for at least 10 motor vehicles; 3. The dealer must have office space, a sign with the dealership’s name, and a telephone number listed in the dealership’s name. 4. A Dealer’s license requires: A. A $50,000 corporate surety bond; B. Auto liability insurance coverage for either `any auto’ or `all owned autos’; C. Either workers compensation insurance -OR- a workers compensation waiver form. Conviction of a felony may be grounds for denial of a license in this occupation.
