License: Trailer-Only Dealer

<h3>Occupational Description</h3><br>A Trailer Dealer is a person or company actively engaged in the business of selling or exchanging new or used commercial trailers, semitrailers, camping trailers, and/or manufactured homes. A Dealer’s license is not required to sell utility trailers (trailers under 9,000 pounds gross vehicle weight). <br><h3>Licensure Requirements</h3><br>Applicants must: 1. Be at least 19 years of age; 2. The place of business must be zoned properly for that type of business, with space for at least 10 trailers; 3. The dealer must have office space, a sign with the dealership’s name, and a telephone number listed in the dealership’s name. 4. A dealer’s license requires a $50,000 corporate surety bond, and either workers compensation insurance -OR- a workers compensation waiver form. Conviction of a felony may be grounds for denial of a license in this occupation. Contact the Licensing Board for more information. <br><h3>Fees</h3><br>Dealer License Fee- $400.00 per calendar year<br><h3>Renewal</h3><br>Renewal is required annually. The renewal fee is $400.00.
