The following general requirements apply; contact the Board for more information. Applicants must: 1) Be of good moral character. 2) Be able to adequately speak and write in English. 3) Have graduated from a physician assistant program approved by the American Medical Association (AMA) Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation. 4) Be certified by the National Commission on Certification for Physician Assistants. 5) Pass a written exam concerning the statutes and regulations relating to the practice as a physician assistant in Nevada. Applicants may be required to appear before the State Board. Fees may be subject to change. Fees are: application--$300; biennial registration--$400; background check - $75.
