<p>Electricians install, repair, alter and maintain electrical conductors, fittings, devices and fixtures for heating, lighting or power purposes. They must comply with the current edition of the National Electric Code. Apprentice Electricians learn to perform the above duties under direct supervision of a Master or Journeyman Electrician.</p> <p><strong>Legislation:</strong> NH RSA 319-C; Administrative Rules Chapter Elec 100-400</p> <p><strong>Identification Card Requirements:</strong></p> <ul><li>Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or be enrolled in a Board-approved "youth apprenticeship program for high school students"</li></ul> <p><strong>Examination:</strong> Not required</p> <p><strong>Continuing Education:</strong> A 30-hour course, based on areas of deficiency in the exam, shall be required yearly for apprentices, after completion of 600 hours of schooling, starting with their fifth renewal</p> <p><strong>Fees:</strong></p> <ul><li>Initial fee: $30</li></ul> <p><strong>Reciprocity:</strong> Not permitted</p> <p>revised Jan 2018</p>
