License: Electrician, Master

<p>Master Electricians perform work as their principal or auxiliary business or as businesses, hire; they may employ others to do electrical work. Electricians install, repair, alter, and maintain electrical conductors, fittings, devices, and fixtures for heating, lighting, or power purposes. They must comply with the current edition of the National Electrical Code.</p> <p><strong>Legislation:</strong> NH RSA 319-C; Administrative Rules Chapter Elec 100-400</p> <p><strong>Licensure Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Pass Journeyman's examination</li> <li>One year (2,000 hours) of practical experience as a licensed journeyman</li> </ul> <p><strong>Examination:</strong> Written examination required, through Prov. Exam fee is paid to Prov.</p> <p><strong>Continuing Education:</strong> A 15-hour course on each new edition of the National Electric Code (proof required the first year the code is out)</p> <p><strong>Fees:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Initial application fee: $50</li> <li>Three-year license: $270</li> </ul> <p><strong>Reciprocity:</strong> Permitted with Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont</p> <p>revised Jan 2018</p>
