License: Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspector

<p>Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors inspect boilers and pressure vessels, which are closed vessels in which water or other fluid is heated, steam is generated, steam is superheated, or any combination of those, under pressure or vacuum for use externally to itself by the direct application of heat from the combustion of fuels, or from electricity or nuclear energy.</p> <p><strong>Legislation:</strong> NH RSA 157-A; Administrative Rules Chapter Lab 1200</p> <p><strong>Licensure Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Applicants must hold an active National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors commission, and submit evidence with application</li> </ul> <p><strong>Examination:</strong> Written examination conducted by the National Board</p> <p><strong>Continuing Education:</strong> Beginning January 1, 2016, and every two years thereafter, the certified individual must complete a knowledge check developed by the National Board to test their knowledge of the applicable ASME BPV Code section or ASME Standard for the application of the ASME certification</p> <p><strong>Fees</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>New application: $30</li> <li>Annual renewal: $20</li> </ul> <p><strong>Reciprocity:</strong> Permitted for applicants who hold an active National Board commission and pay the license fee</p> <p>revised Jan 2018</p>
