PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER<br><br> Engineers use the knowledge of mathematical and natural sciences to develop ways to utilize the materials and forces of nature for the benefit of mankind. Engineers practice in a wide range of disciplines, from traditional disciplines like civil, mechanical, and electrical, to more specialized disciplines like nuclear and industrial.<BR>Applicants for registration must complete:<BR>- a four-year degree in engineering approved by the Board<BR>- pass the Fundamentals of Engineering examination (which is waived if the applicant has 12 or more years of engineering experience acceptable to the Board)<BR>- obtain four (4) years of engineering experience satisfactory to the Board<BR>- pass the Principles and Practice of Engineering examination.<BR><BR>REQUIREMENTS:<BR>1. Notarized and completed application<BR>2. Fees<BR>3. Five (5) professional references (three must be from registered engineers)<BR>4. Official transcript(s)<BR>5. Verification of registration or examination from other state(s) (comity and reapply only)<BR>6. Continuing education documentation and expired license affidavit (reapply only)<BR><BR>Note: If an applicant has a National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) record, the references (provided they meet the requirements of Rule 0120-01-.09 and are less than two years old), transcript(s), and verification(s) in the record will be accepted and do not need to be submitted separately.<BR><BR>FEES:<BR>Exam Application Fee: $30<BR>Comity Application/Reapplication Fee: $55<BR>Biennial Registration/Renewal Fee: $140<BR>Late Renewal Penalty Fee: $10 (per month or fraction of a month for six months following registration expiration date)<BR>Duplicate Wall Certificate: $25<BR><BR>ADDITIONAL:<BR>Comity applicants (applicants re hours of continuing education in the two years preceding reapplication.
