PEST CONTROL SOLICITOR/TECHNICIAN <br><br>A pest control solicitor/technician performs duties of a pest control solicitor, pest control technician, or both. A solicitor is a salesperson or agent employed by a chartered pest control business who is authorized to solicit business or any employee authorized to enter into a pest control contract on behalf of a chartered pest control business. <br><br>REQUIREMENTS: <br>A solicitor must possess commercial certification in each category of service offered for sale or provided and be registered by the holder of the charter. Certification, required of a technician, is attained by completing the examination requirements and must be 16 years of age. <br><br>EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS: <br>Pass the CORE and category applicable to work. The CORE part covers general knowledge of pest control materials, safety methods and label interpretation and the category part tests knowledge relating to the specific category or categories in which the applicant is seeking a certification. An applicant may be tested in as many categories as desired within the time allowed. The examination must be taken every three years if the required number of continuing education units are not accrued to maintain certification. <br><br>RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS: <br>The renewal fees are staggered.
