MOTOR VEHICLE SALESPERSON<br><br>A Motor Vehicle Salesperson includes any person employed by a licensed motor vehicle dealer who is engaged in the business of effecting or attempting to effect the sale or purchase of motor vehicles or recreational vehicles owned by some other person to residents of the state, for which service some form of remuneration is expected, whether the remuneration be designated as a salary, fee, commission, rental or otherwise, and regardless of whether the remuneration is paid by the buyer, seller or a third party.<br><br>A Motor Vehicle Salesperson license issued by the Motor Vehicle Commission is required to sell motor vehicles in the state of Tennessee.<br><br>REQUIREMENTS:<br>- Completion of application<br>- Submission of Fees<br>- Notorize Application<br>- Provide Dealer Licensure Information<br>- Provide Dealer Endorsement<br><br>FEES:<br>Application Fee: $35<br>Biennial Renewal Fee: $35<br>Renewal Late Fee: $17<br>Duplicate License Fee: $25<br><br>ADDITIONAL:<br>All licensed salesperson changes of employer require reapplication. All salesperson licenses are connected with the associated licensed dealer endorsing the application. Upon change of employment, the Commission must be notified immediately as it effects the salesperson licensure.
