Chiroprators use objective or subjective means to diagnose, analyze, examine, or evaluate the biomechanical condition of the spine and musculoskeletal system of the human body. Chiropractors are not permitted to prescribe drugs and perform nonsurgical, nonincisive procedures, includign adjustment and manipulation, to improve the subluxation complex or the biomechanics of the musculoskeletal system. Chiropractors may take X-rays as a part of their treatment methods, but Texas law prohibits the use of X-ray or radium therapy.
