License: PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR/SECURITY GUARD

The Private Security Program of the Texas Department of Public Safety regulates the private security and private investigation industry in Texas. In order to perform any regulated service, individuals must be registered with a licensed company. Types of registrations issued include armed and unarmed security guards, private investigators, security salespersons, alarm sales persons, alarm installers, alarm system monitors, security consultants, guard dog trainers, personal protection officers, locksmiths, electronic access control device installers, owners, managers, branch managers, and instructors.
