A barbering manager is a person who practices barbering and who is responsible for supervising and managing the operation of an establishment and ensuring that the establishment operates in compliance with Chapter 454 of the Wisconsin Statutes and rules promulgated by the Barbering and Cosmetology Examining Board. No person may act as a manager of an establishment unless he or she holds a barbering manager license issued by the Barbering and Cosmetology Examining Board. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 1) 4,000 hours of practice as a licensed barber or cosmetologist under the supervision of a licensed manager. ……or 2) 150 training hours of theoretical instruction in a school of barbering or cosmetology licensed by the Department and 2,000 hours of practice as a licensed barber or cosmetologist. ……Continuing Education Requirements per BC 11 Beginning with the March, 2011 Renewal period, licensees who received their license prior to 4/1/09 must certify that they have completed 2 continuing ed.
