License: PREVENTION SPECIALIST

The Prevention Specialist Certification* reflects the high standards of skill and knowledge, conduct and ethics that Prevention Specialists offer to the public and to their employers. The certification assures that the public that that Prevention Specialist is equipped through education and training to provide pro-active, competent and professional Prevention services. *Note: Those individuals who formerly held Wisconsin Certification Board credentials of RPS or CPP transferred to the Department of Safety and Professional Services as a Certified Prevention Specialist Definition of “Prevention”: Prevention means a pro-active process of promoting supportive institutions, neighborhoods and communities that foster an environment conducive to the health and well-being of individuals and families.
