Who should have this credential? A person may inspect, as required under Comm 41, Boiler Code, a boiler or pressure vessel, or submit an inspection report to the department, if the person holds a certification issued by the department as a: (a) Certified boiler-pressure vessel inspector; or (b) Certified in-service field inspector working under the general supervision of a certified boiler-pressure vessel inspector who has assumed responsibility for the inspection or the report. How does the credential vary from others in the field? A certified boiler-pressure vessel inspector may do the inspection defined above or may supervise a certified in-service field inspector.
